Spring Comes To Alberta

Thurs April 12 2012

April showers? We "enjoyed" this snowstorm on Thursday. Often our snow is dry and fluffy but this was wet and heavy. Too much for the one flower I had blooming, a brave little crocus, who succumbed. Fortunately I can enjoy the gardens of my favourite bloggers in warmer climes.
Roses and Other Gardening Joys  did much to cheer me up.
Moss and Ivy showed me what I can look forward to out at the coast.
Galveston Gardening reminded me of the Oleander draped streets I used to walk with my babies.
May Dreams Garden was hosting Bloom Day........

Not a bad way to spend a snowy day.

  1. Goodness, that picture makes me feel very cold. As soon as our hosepipe ban was in force it started to rain! Very wet and windy here today.

    1. I was reading about the hose pipe ban on a lot of U.K. blogs. Is this something which happens often?

  2. Wow - it's so hot here, I can hardly believe it's still snowing where you are! I do so hope spring comes to you soon, and that the rest of your crocus bulbs don't suffer an untimely freeze. Thanks for the link love. :)

    1. No sign of crocus, I think they are too frightened now. I used to live on Galveston Island. Imagine the change!

  3. We had no snow this year and it made for a weirdly unwinterish winter. However, if it snowed here April 12 I would have freaked out! My garden is green and charging ahead! I'm sure your plants are enjoying the drink!

    1. I don't know about the plants but personally I find drink helps.

  4. It looks like it has been an odd spring all over this country of ours. There isn't any snow here, but who knows what the week will bring.
