House Hunting 2

We had one day left in the Comox Valley and feeling despondent over the property search hopped on the ferry to Powell River.

It is filled with beautiful architecture.

We went out of town to view two houses. The first set my heart racing. Through a grove of trees, an old farmhouse dappled in sunlight.  Perfect.....except for the listing foundation and grow op history. To be honest I have it tucked away in my heart just in case I win the lottery and can afford to fix it.

The second one has everything on our wish list plus this view across a meadow:

Nothing wrong with this one folks.  Time for reflection with a nice walk along Willingdon Trail

and a quick look at the Sunshine Coast Trail.

and a lung full of sea air coming down Desolation Sound. (Fjord for my European readers)

Maybe we should have made an offer right there and then.  I'll keep you posted.

  5. Searching for a home is quite a task. I'll never forget asking an agent what her clients did whilst looking at the overly-expensive properties in one neighborhood. She said the husbands became very quiet in the front seat, while the wives weeped in the back! Hopefully it is a much easier and happier process for you!

    1. I always think I'm going to have fun but reality interferes. I'm setting aside more time to relax on the next trip.

  7. Have you found something yet? Have you looked in the Nelson area? Depending on where, it's between zones 5 and 7, although there can be snow. In the higher zone areas, it melts fast.
