48 Hours Of Happy

48 hours of happy. I can tell you it is pretty darn good. A baby has been born. An engagement has been announced. I invoked the rule of three. I thought for a while it might have to be my pleasure in the overdue purchase of a devilishly handsome new kettle; then a letter arrived. A letter from a dear friend full of relief and joy at recovering her health after a decade long illness. I'm quite giddy with all the good news.

all i want is for you to be happy / that is so sweet / you're much less of a pain in the ass when you're happy
from the Mimi and Eunice collection by Nina Paley
The requirements of life still needed to be met so yesterday we went into town to run some essential errands. We planned the trip to coincide with the Hospital Auxiliary Bazaar. I purchased these bluebell bulbs for $1 a bag.

More happy.

    1. The bluebells are destined for the transition area between the meadow and forest. I hope they do well.

    1. Pretty soon I have to get the bluebells planted along with rather a huge order of daffodils, crocus and grape hyacinth.
