    1. To be honest my husband has a good sense of colour although there are many other things he needs a note for LOL.

  3. You do inspire!! We need to be painting, too. It seems that by the time we get around to it, I have changed my mind on the color and have to go buy more paint. I am sure you will get yours all done!

    1. I take months to choose a colour. Test patches show up all over the house. Anyone entering the house gets asked their opinion. Fortunately for everyone there is a deadline so I can't drag it out much longer.

    1. I'm not looking forward to painting the wall, it is rather intimidating. The wall is that height the entire length of the house. My husband will be the one going up high, thank goodness.

  6. Wow, you have some tall walls. Cant wait to see them, when you're done. I had to giggle at the sign, too. My husband makes me do all the decision making. He knows the drill, if not. Ha!

    1. The intention is to have the space a restful and calm area. The other end of the house is the busy end. New floors but the ceiling is safe for now.

  9. Those are some really high ceilings. I don't envy your chaos, but the end result should make it worth it. - Margy

    1. We have a plan which includes 8ft scaffold. I feel a bit stretched as also trying to get plants started and sorting out overgrown garden beds. You would think i would be losing weight but no such luck.

  10. My husband learned never to pick out colors...he just tried recently with a new light for the kitchen and it went back until I picked out the new one.

  11. I feel for you. Next week hubby is off and we will embark on several reno projects. I love the sign about husbands needing a note from their wives. My husband wouldn't know where to begin to select a wall color. He'd probably choose white!

    1. My husband, normally a mild mannered man becomes an absolute tyrant when we are doing projects. Nobody believes me.

    1. We have been avoiding it as it is such a big job. Our organizational skills are not great, we have scheduled it for seed starting time so I'm torn between two high needs areas.

  13. I love that sign! One year I was out of the country on a medical mission and we had been talking about painting our house. We had driven around for hours looking at different houses and talking about what ones we liked. I repeated many times I loved yellow and white. So much to surprise when I got picked up at the airport, my hubby said. I have a surprise for you,,,,I painted the house...and your favorite color. I was so excited...finally a yellow and white house. Imagine my shock when I pulled up and our house was mint green with chocolate brown trim!!!! HA everyone laughed when they saw it but my hubby was so proud of it...... thankfully after about four years we got to change it.

    1. Funny now but I bet your face was a picture. It's hard to scream when they look so proud. I've always wanted a yellow and white house-with a periwinkle blue door.
