Bacon Butty

I built a new house for the Brussels Sprouts before 8:30 am today. Pleased with the result  I celebrated with a bacon butty for breakfast.

I'm known for my exciting visuals

bacon butty recipe

The pups were taken for a training walk in town so they could meet people and other dogs and learn not to do an impression of the Incredible Hulk with a barking problem. Yesterday took them to the beach which was more successful-they liked the casual vibe.

I cleared out pea vines and weeds from a garden bed in a last ditch effort to get some carrots and beets started. If September is as warm as last year I might have a chance.

I took a few pics of things going right in the garden. Then had a hek of a job downloading them. The Windows 10 transition not painless as advertised.

The flowers are so cheery--and I love your tent over the Sprouts. I couldn't live without my fabric in the garden!

  2. I could live on bacon buttys/butties. I am also a fan of A-1 sauce on my butty. I love those yellow dahlias! So lovely! I also commend you for socializing your pups. I wish I had done a better job, although they were middle-aged when I adopted them. They socialize with each other and enjoy the cats, so I guess I should count my blessings.
P.S. What is that beautiful flowering vine in the last photograph?

    1. I swear I replied to this the day you posted. Vine is good old Scarlet Runner bean.

  3. Everything is blooming and growing now and the gardens look their best. You have so many wonderful plants growing and there seems like nothing you will not tackle. You have my admiration, Susan.

  4. Hi Susan, thanks for visiting my blog. Yes the poppies are very invasive. As soon as they had finished blooming and ANOTHER rain/hailstorm bashed them to pieces I cut all the seed heads off as I don't want them all over the place. Your flowers look beautiful and my mouth is watering looking at the bacon buttie!!

  7. Bacon, butter and fresh bun. I am in heaven. There was an article on making the perfect BLT - I think the article was in the TC. It went on about using very special bacon. I am not so picky!
