Oh the weather outside is frightful.......But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

We're home. The first night in my own bed was terminated by the CBC's morning show blaring into life. The host gleefully informing me "nine days until Christmas". Well, I've had my Christmas, thank you very much. Will and Kate (no, not that Will and Kate, our Will and Kate) hosted a perfect family get together with turkey and prezzies and music and napping.
We received the best gifts ever. The Original Muck Boot Company wellies. I shall be wearing them at the next garden club meeting. In fact I'm so thrilled with them, I think I'll wear them into town later.
A book, put together by our clever daughter, recording the fun we had last summer.
and a Christmas tree ornament
covered in hearts because "I love you". Everything was done with love and that is the most precious gift of all.
I'm glad you had such a lovely family get together, Susan. As I almost live in wellies in winter I understand why you love yours! The snow looks very festive, but I'm glad it's milder here. Everything will, as usual, come to a stand still if it snows.
ReplyDeleteWellies by the back door. Sometimes my feet are in them before I realise something dressier is required.
DeleteNo snow here - the first day of snow I love, but thereafter I want it to be on its way. Glad you had a lovely family party.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy snow on weekends and holidays but not when I have to drive.
DeleteWhat a heart warming post, and I'm glad that you are keeping warm, too! It sounds like you enjoyed the best kind of Christmas. Wishing you a very happy holiday season!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dorothy. The kids did a great job of planning lots of fun activities with us.
DeleteHome and hand made presents really show the love. I'm glad we don't get quite that much snow. - Margy
ReplyDeleteFrom the weather point of view it was good to be back. We were hopping around like bunnies in Spring, enjoying the sunshine.
DeleteI agree Susan, in this very commercial world that we live in, home made presents are like a breath of fresh air.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here - yet. We are going to Burgundy for Christmas and AGA tells me that it is supposed to snow every day. I 'think' I will like that but I'm not sure. . . I am a bit like Rosemary: I like it on Day 1 but then I am over it!

It was a -30C when we got up in the mornings. Had to allow extra time to put on about six layers before going out. I hope you don't get those temperatures.
DeleteWow ! That weather looks frrrrreezing ! Stay by the fire and keep looking at those lovely presents ! Think the Muck Boots will get a lot of outings (lots of friends swear by them )
ReplyDeleteOh my - I don't like the look of that snow at all - we have escaped from it here so far. Sounds like you had a lovely time with your family. Even though you have already had your Christmas I wish you all the best for the coming year.
ReplyDeleteOh sounds like a perfect gathering indeed! I am loving your boots!!! Those will come in so handy in the garden! And those handmade gifts are seriously the best!!! You are a very blessed lady...family, food, and sweet memories! And boy is that snow coming down! A VERY merry week to you!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed some frightful looking weather. I'm glad you made it home safe and sound. Your family time sounds wonderful. And new wellies! Only a true gardener could appreciate such a gift. I'm a teensy bit jealous. :) Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm
ReplyDeleteKeep safe
It sounds lovely! The memories will keep you warm, so I will only add stay safe! Hugs, Bonnie
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect Christmas. So glad you had a wonderful time with your family, making more memories. Those wellies look very practical for walking around in all that snow!
ReplyDeleteLovely snowphoto. I hope you are well!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas
