Fortunately there were treats:
Supper overlooking Okeover Arm
Soaking in a warm bath of oatmeal, rosemary, sage, salvia, cucumber and sunflower seed oil from Crabtree and Evelyn's Gardeners Collection.
A good day to count my blessings.
Oh deer! You do have your own set of particular problems don't you. The raised beds are coming on a treat.
ReplyDeleteOnly six more to go!
DeleteI do love seeing the deer, except in my gardens.
ReplyDeleteI'm fond of the deer too. They are welcome in the meadow anytime. Maybe I should plant some flowers in there for them.
DeleteOh foo bambi!!!! I have peter rabbit in my garden!!! Friend your boxes look outstanding! You have been rocking it!!! And how I love that last photo...gave me a smile! A very Happy Mother's Day to you!!! Nicole xoxo
ReplyDeleteBunnies and baby deer are just so darn cute. I'm willing to share but they need to understand- my garden, my rules.
Deletehope you enjoyed that bath -- it sounds so relaxing and tantalizing at the same time. Lovely shot of the lake!
ReplyDeleteThe bath was very relaxing.
DeleteYou have problems with Bambi - I want you to know that all the Grape Hyacinth in my yard were eaten on Sunday by the resident Ground Hog! JC
ReplyDeleteI feel the pain!
DeleteThat is a shame about the deer and your grape hyacinths and beds. The bath sounds wonderfully fragrant and relaxing and the view over the lake is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to learn to live with my four footed neighbours. Meanwhile I'm planning to plant tons of lavender, I've been told they don't like the scent.
DeleteYour raised beds look great! I hope you find a way to deal with those deer!
ReplyDeleteI've spent the day cogitating on my next move.
DeleteOh no....mine will nibble the greens but not the flowers...love the idea of a bath.
